Job Title: Revenue Accounting Specialist

Virgin Atlantic Limited is seeking a skilled Revenue Accounting Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Revenue Accounting team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our revenue accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the completeness and accuracy of data flows from Air4 into RPA, collaborating closely with counterparts at Delta and across the business.
  • Liaise with WNS to ensure ticket entries, processing, audits, and batch closures are progressing, addressing issues as they arise.
  • Ensure billings to other airlines are accurate, minimizing the risk of billing rejections.
  • Collaborate with Loyalty Accounting as required to resolve reconciliation issues related to RPA and Air4.
  • Ensure work instruction manuals provided to WNS are clear and accurate.
  • Quality control key P&L items, including YQ, Fare, and billing rejections.
  • Maintain key tables within RPA with relevant data and rates.
  • Identify areas for improved system configuration and processing, driving noted changes to completion.
  • Understand key inputs and outputs of your work, contextualizing your day-to-day activities within the wider business environment.
  • Take ownership of upskilling yourself, using knowledge from within and across teams to enhance your ability to excel at your day-to-day activities.
  • Liaise with WNS, ITRAOS, AS400, Refunds, Revenue Recognition, Financial Accounting, Loyalty Accounting, and other teams as necessary to ensure smooth data transfer from RPA into Oracle/TM1.
  • Ensure key project requirements are understood, challenging partners across the business to provide greater clarity where necessary.
  • Ability to understand, simplify, and improve processes and controls, ensuring efficient implementation.
  • Proven track record of managing and delivering projects.
  • Analytical mind with the ability to manipulate large data sets and accurately draw conclusions.
  • Good MS Office skills and experience working with large data sets in Excel, with the ability to draw and articulate conclusions.
  • Previous experience working with multiple offshore suppliers in different time zones.
  • Revenue Accounting Knowledge, including understanding the IATA Passenger Interline Billing process, would be advantageous.
  • Experience with Power BI, Power Query, and Power Automate would be an advantage.
