Revenue Recognition Accountant

Kennedy Pearce Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Revenue Recognition Accountant to join our team in Sussex. This is a 6-month fixed-term contract, with the possibility of extension.
Job Responsibilities:
- Record revenue in compliance with IFRS requirements, focusing on complex agreements.
- Support the documentation of current processes and controls.
- Prepare monthly journal entries for revenue and transfer costs, as well as account reconciliations.
- Upload financial data to the corporate consolidation system and create management reports using advanced Excel skills.
- Maintain revenue amortization schedules, purchase price variance analysis, and provision analysis.
- Collaborate with FP&A, Auditors, Accounting, Tax, Supply Chain, Order Entry, Commercial Operations, and other global business experts.
Requirements:
- BA in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in revenue accounting.
- Knowledge of revenue recognition rules (IFRS15) for multi-element arrangements.
- Process mapping and enhancement experience.
- Proficiency in JDE E1 ERP/Accounting, Apttus, Cognos, or other reporting tools, and Salesforce or other CRM systems.
- Experience working in a process-focused environment, such as shared services or outsourcing.
- Strong Excel and presentation skills.
- Detail-oriented with problem-solving skills.
- Effective team player with the ability to work in a large team environment and meet tight deadlines.
