Job Title: Passenger Revenue Accounting Analyst

Virgin Atlantic is seeking a highly skilled Passenger Revenue Accounting Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Revenue Accounting team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our revenue data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the completeness and accuracy of data flows from Air4 into RPA, collaborating closely with counterparts at Delta and across the business to resolve any issues.
  • Liaise with WNS to ensure ticket entries, processing, audits, and batch closures are progressing smoothly, addressing any issues that arise.
  • Ensure billings to other airlines are accurate and minimize the risk of billing rejections.
  • Collaborate with Loyalty Accounting to resolve reconciliation issues related to RPA and Air4.
  • Develop and maintain clear and accurate work instruction manuals for WNS.
  • Ensure key P&L items are quality controlled, including YQ, Fare, and billing rejections.
  • Maintain relevant data and rates in key tables within RPA.
  • Identify areas for improved system configuration and processing, driving changes to completion.
  • Understand the key inputs and outputs of your work to contextualize your day-to-day activities within the wider business environment.
  • Take ownership of upskilling yourself where necessary, using knowledge from within and across teams to enhance your ability to excel in your role.
  • Liaise with various teams, including WNS, ITRAOS, AS400, Refunds, Revenue Recognition, Financial Accounting, and Loyalty Accounting, to ensure smooth data transfer from RPA into Oracle/TM1.
  • Ensure key project requirements are understood, challenging partners across the business to provide greater clarity where necessary.
  • Ability to understand, simplify, and improve processes and controls to ensure efficient implementation.
  • Proven track record of managing and delivering projects.
  • Analytical mind with the ability to manipulate large data sets and accurately draw conclusions.
  • Good MS Office skills and experience working with large data sets in Excel, with the ability to draw and articulate conclusions.
  • Previous experience working with multiple offshore suppliers in different time zones.
  • Revenue Accounting knowledge, including understanding the IATA Passenger Interline Billing process, would be advantageous.
  • Experience with Power BI, Power Query, and Power Automate would be an advantage.
