We are pleased to announce a vacancy within our Finance team at Croydon Health Services NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be instrumental in providing accurate financial insights to Budget Holders. Responsibilities will include leading essential month-end processes, ensuring the integrity of financial reports, and participating in ongoing forecasting and the annual budgeting cycle.

Candidates should ideally be fully qualified accountants or actively pursuing a CCAB qualification.

To excel in this position, you will need exceptional communication, persuasion, and negotiation skills, enabling you to support the evolution of the finance function in response to the trust's dynamic requirements.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, with the capability to analyze and manage extensive datasets.
  • Strong understanding of the operational and financial challenges faced by Acute NHS Trusts.
  • Ability to influence, persuade, and establish effective relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of management accounting practices.

Desirable Skills

  • Adaptability and capacity to manage conflicting deadlines.
  • Familiarity with Business Intelligence systems.

Experience Requirements

  • Extensive experience in Financial Management.
  • Proven experience in presenting complex financial data to non-financial managers.
