Overview:

An exciting opportunity has emerged to become a part of the Suffolk Therapeutic Fostering Team as a Family Support Practitioner. This role involves working collaboratively with various stakeholders to provide essential support to families across the county.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in therapeutic relationships with children, foster carers, and professionals.
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, including clinical psychologists and social workers.
  • Facilitate coaching sessions aimed at empowering young individuals to develop self-coaching skills.
  • Support young people in setting and achieving personal goals to enhance their self-esteem and confidence.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and expansion of team initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills:

The ideal candidate will possess relevant experience in coaching, mentoring, and supporting young individuals. A level 3 practitioner qualification or equivalent experience in a related field is preferred. We seek individuals who are enthusiastic about delivering training and support to both young people and foster carers.
