Child Protection Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Social Worker to join our Children in Care Team in Ipswich. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and safety of children who are "Looked After".
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake assessments within Court Proceedings and manage Court cases.
- Develop and implement plans to support children and their families.
- Work closely with other professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to child care.
- Write reports and provide updates to stakeholders.
- Participate in case conferences and contribute to decision-making.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of child protection and care principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Working Arrangements:
This is a full-time locum role with a minimum of 2 days per week in the office. You will be required to conduct face-to-face visits with children and families, with some remote working opportunities available.
