Child Protection Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Social Worker to join our Children in Care Team in Ipswich. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and safety of children who are "Looked After".
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake assessments within Court Proceedings and manage Court cases.
- Develop and implement parallel planning for adoption and hold some adoption cases.
- Write Rule 14 reports and case responsible for CIC, including writing review reports.
- Work closely with the team to provide support and services to children and families.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of child protection and welfare legislation and policies.
Working Arrangements:
This is a full-time locum role on an ongoing basis. You will be expected to work in the office at least 2 days a week and make face-to-face visits to children. Some remote working may be possible, such as writing reports from home.
