About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Community Mental Health team in West Wiltshire and Devizes. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients and contribute to the delivery of high-quality mental health services.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct interventions to service users, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental and physical health needs.
- Provide medical input and leadership to the Community Mental Health Team, with a focus on patients from surgeries in Melksham and Trowbridge.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide advice and attend regular team meetings.
- Assess and treat outpatients in clinics, hold CPA meetings, and visit patients in their own homes if clinically indicated.
- Liaise with other services, GPs, and non-NHS organisations to ensure seamless care.
- Fulfill the Responsible Clinician role for patients subject to Community Treatment Orders.

Requirements
- MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
- Fully registered with the GMC and included on the Specialist Register or within six months of gaining CCT.
- Approved clinician status or able to achieve within three months of appointment.
- Experience of assessing and treating patients in a community setting.
- Leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
