Consultant Adult Psychiatrist

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Adult Psychiatrist to join our team at Avon & Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust. As a key member of our Intensive Service, you will provide clinical leadership and consultation to support our team members in delivering high-quality care to patients in their homes and facilitating safe transitions between inpatient and community services.
Main Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership and consultation to support the Intensive Team in delivering home-based care and facilitating safe transitions for patients.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues in the Intensive and Inpatient services to lead the acute care pathway.
- Teach and supervise Medical Students to ensure they receive comprehensive training and education.
- Support and participate in Clinical Governance and Quality Improvement initiatives to drive excellence in patient care.
- Comply with all Trust policies, including Equal Opportunities, and promote equality of access to healthcare at all times.
- Develop an area of special clinical interest in line with service needs and engage in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to maintain expertise.

Person SpecificationWe are looking for a Consultant Adult Psychiatrist with the following qualifications and experience:
- MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
- Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment.
- Included on the GMC Specialist Register or within six months of gaining CCT.
- Approved clinician status or able to achieve within 3 months of appointment.
- Approved under S12 or able to achieve within 3 months of appointment.
