Job Title: Consultant Adult Psychiatrist

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Adult Psychiatrist to join our team at Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and expertise in the Primary Care Liaison Service in Wiltshire.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance to the team
  • Triage referrals and assess patients to make recommendations on care
  • Work closely with the Intensive Service, Community Mental Health Team, and Primary Care to ensure a safe and efficient service
  • Provide clinical supervision and management supervision for doctors reporting to them
  • Supervise medical staff providing input into the service
  • Participate in clinical supervision and work collaboratively with other services to facilitate transitions through the care pathway
  • Understand and participate in the maintenance, monitoring, and evaluation of service-specific performance indicators and targets
  • Train and supervise junior medical staff
  • Provide medical and MDT teaching and supervision

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in General Adult Psychiatry, experience of assessing and treating patients in a community setting, and a commitment to undergraduate and postgraduate learning and teaching.
