We are looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to enhance our logistics operations at MISSOMA. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the daily activities within the warehouse, ensuring the effective and precise management of our products. Your responsibilities will include managing the intake, storage, and distribution of goods, while maintaining optimal inventory levels and ensuring timely processing of items.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire a team of warehouse staff, ensuring smooth daily operations.
  • Organize work schedules, delegate tasks, and evaluate team performance, providing necessary training and development.
  • Promote a culture of precision, detail orientation, and collaboration.
  • Supervise the receiving, storing, and shipping of jewellery products.
  • Keep accurate inventory records and conduct regular audits to avoid discrepancies.
  • Establish and uphold quality control standards to guarantee that all products meet company specifications prior to shipping.
  • Continuously monitor key performance indicators such as order accuracy, picking efficiency, quality control, and stock variances. Analyze these metrics to uncover trends and areas for enhancement.
  • Develop and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline warehouse processes.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to oversee inventory and manage workflows effectively.
  • Collaborate with teams across Merchandising, Retail, Product Design, Wholesale, and Customer Care to ensure warehouse activities align with overall business goals.
  • Ensure the prompt and precise fulfillment of customer orders, reducing errors and delays.
  • Maintain effective communication with internal teams and external partners, including suppliers and logistics providers.
  • Address and resolve any challenges related to order fulfillment and customer service.
  • Prepare and deliver reports on warehouse performance metrics, including inventory status, order accuracy, and productivity levels.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and potential improvements.
  • Propose and implement enhancements to optimize warehouse operations and elevate customer satisfaction.

Competencies & Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in a supervisory capacity within a warehouse or logistics setting, preferably in the jewellery or luxury goods sector.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management and warehouse operations.
  • Exceptional leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in warehouse management software (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with Peoplevox warehouse management system or Shopify e-commerce platform is advantageous.
  • A forklift license is a plus.
