About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Ecommerce Manager to lead our digital sales efforts and drive online growth for Trafalgar Scientific Ltd.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement e-commerce strategies to drive online sales growth and enhance customer experience.
- Oversee the management of the company's website, including B2B/B2C online sales, product catalogue, and digital content.
- Collaborate with the wider Sales and Marketing Department on market pricing and strategy, in relation to digital sales.
- Analyse website traffic and user behaviour to optimise conversion rates and improve overall performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration between e-commerce operations and other business functions.
- Lead and manage the Ecommerce and Marketing Team to achieve key objectives and drive team growth.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and recommend new initiatives to enhance the company's online presence.
- Oversee digital marketing campaigns, including email marketing, social media advertising, and search engine optimisation (SEO).
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate regular reports to track the effectiveness of Ecommerce and Marketing initiatives.
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors, agencies, and technology partners.
- Report HSE issues to the HSE and Facilities Manager.
- Communicate Quality issues to the Quality Department.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proficiency in web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and digital marketing channels.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritise tasks accordingly.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR) is desirable.
- Ability and openness to learn about new products relevant to the supply of Laboratory Equipment and Consumables.
- Proven experience as an Ecommerce Manager, Marketing Manager, or similar, preferably in the Laboratory or Life Sciences sector.
- Strong understanding of Ecommerce Platforms (e.g., Shopify) and online payment gateways.
- Experience with SAP desirable, but not essential.
