Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Mane Contract Services. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for identifying and resolving manufacturing issues, supporting new product introductions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Industrial Validation: Support the industrial validation process through FMEAs, process proving activities, and other related tasks.
  • Manufacturing Process Improvement: Assist in the identification and implementation of process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
  • Manufacturing Systems Engineering: Collaborate with the design authority to optimize Design for Manufacture (DfM) and ensure that products are manufactured with a focus on safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Configuration Control: Manage configuration control by implementing design modifications into manufacturing documentation and industrial validation processes.
  • Non-Conformance Process: Support the non-conformance process to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Tooling Development and Control: Oversee tooling development and control to ensure that manufacturing processes are optimized and efficient.

Requirements:

  • Essential: Formal technical Engineering/Craft Apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21 and ability to interpret Design Drawings with a view to producing Manufacturing Build Instructions.
  • Desirable: Formal further education certificate to HNC or equivalent in a relevant subject OR BEng in relevant Engineering Degree, able to work with minimum supervision, and demonstrate a proactive approach to problem solving and commitment to work to meet delivery milestones.
