Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Virtual Manufacturing Engineering Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing engineering team, you will be responsible for identifying and resolving manufacturing issues, supporting existing manufacturing lines and new product introductions, and collaborating with the Principal Engineer on various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support existing manufacturing lines and new product introductions by identifying and resolving manufacturing issues
  • Assist in the industrial validation process through FMEAs, process proving activities, and more
  • Manage configuration control by implementing design modifications into manufacturing documentation and industrial validation processes
  • Support the non-conformance process to ensure quality and compliance
  • Ensure products are manufactured with a focus on safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness
  • Collaborate with the design authority during the prototype and development phases to optimize Design for Manufacture (DfM)
  • Compile and update Manufacturing Instructions and maintain production BOMs
  • Formal technical Engineering/Craft Apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21
  • Have the ability to interpret Design Drawings with a view to producing Manufacturing Build Instructions

Requirements:

  • Formal further education certificate to HNC or equivalent in a relevant subject OR BEng in relevant Engineering Degree
  • Able to work with minimum supervision
