About the Role

The NHS Suffolk and North East Essex Integrated Care Board (ICB) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Finance Business Partner to join our team. As a key member of our commissioning team, you will play a critical role in shaping the financial strategy and direction of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert financial analysis and advice to support the commissioning of effective and financially sustainable services.
  • Develop and implement financial planning and forecasting processes to deliver annual and medium-term financial plans, annual budgets, and in-year forecasts.
  • Work closely with budget holders and lead directors to ensure that plans and forecasts fully reflect current thinking.
  • Monitor and provide budgetary and financial control surrounding all commissioned services within the portfolio of responsibility.
  • Support the Deputy Director of Finance in contract negotiations and contract management.
  • Manage, motivate, and develop a high-performing team of financial analysts.
Requirements
  • CCAB or CIMA qualified accountant with significant relevant post-qualification experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to deal with complex and sensitive issues.
  • High level of emotional resilience and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to analyze complex financial data and present options and outcomes clearly and simply.
  • Experience of financial performance management and reporting, key driver variance analysis, and sensitivity modeling.
  • Track record of managing financial planning and re-forecasting processes and reporting to deliver required financial targets.
