As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for providing accurate and complete monthly financial information, as well as providing insight and analysis into key business drivers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver accurate and complete monthly financial information
  • Provide insight and analysis into key business drivers, including productivity, costing, stock, sales, pricing, and margin
  • Assist with the annual audit and year-end reporting
  • Maintain fixed asset register
  • Manage and develop costing and stock reporting systems
  • General ledger management
  • Capital reporting and forecasting
  • Cashflow Reporting
  • Working Capital Reporting
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting
  • Review and develop processes and controls
  • Perform internal audit and liaise with external auditors
  • VAT returns and annual tax returns
  • Intercompany reconciliations and monthly controls
  • Liaise with banks, auditors, and other external organizations as required

Requirements

  • Qualified accountant or near completion of professional studies (ACCA, CIMA)
  • Experience in the commercial/industrial sector, with manufacturing experience beneficial
  • ERP and intermediate/advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise at all levels
  • Statutory reporting
  • Costing and stock reporting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

What We Offer

Hays Senior Finance offers a highly competitive salary package, including a salary in the region of £45,000 to £50,000, plus benefits such as 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays, pension, and flexible benefits. The business operates on a hybrid basis, with 3 days' office work and 2 days' work from home after a probationary period.
