Hays Senior Finance is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for providing financial leadership and guidance to our business.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver accurate and complete monthly financial information to support business decision-making.
- Provide insightful analysis and recommendations to drive business growth and improvement.
- Assist with the annual audit and year-end reporting process.
- Maintain and manage the fixed asset register.
- Develop and implement effective costing and stock reporting systems.
- Manage the general ledger and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare and present capital reports and forecasts.
- Monitor and manage cash flow and working capital.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Review and develop processes and controls to ensure financial compliance and efficiency.
- Perform internal audits and liaise with external auditors.
- Manage VAT returns and annual tax returns.
- Reconcile intercompany accounts and maintain monthly controls.
- Liaise with banks, auditors, and other external organizations as required.
Requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with experience in the commercial/industrial sector.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems.
- Statutory reporting and costing/stock reporting experience.
What We Offer
Hays Senior Finance offers a highly competitive salary package, including a base salary in the range of £45,000 to £50,000, plus benefits such as 25 days' holiday, pension, and flexible benefits. The business operates on a hybrid basis, with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home after a probationary period.
