Position Overview:

This role is integral to a specialized energy networking platform that emphasizes high-caliber events and initiatives. Energy Council, a well-established brand with a 15-year legacy, orchestrates a series of successful gatherings for a global network of investors, financiers, energy professionals, and technology innovators.

The successful applicant will have the chance to enhance the success and expansion of our portfolio of live events, as well as tailor unique event offerings across upstream, midstream, and downstream sectors.

The ideal candidate will possess a fervor for the industry, bring valuable industry insights, thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced team setting, and enjoy the freedom to utilize their creativity in shaping future events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a minimum of 25 research calls to identify key themes and topics.
  • Develop Audience Development Initiative lists throughout the campaign.
  • Identify the top 2-3 job titles from each company to enhance the target market list, aiming for 200 names by the agenda launch date, with a goal of reaching 400 names by the campaign's conclusion.
  • Create a speaker target market list, ideally by the agenda launch date.
  • Compile a SPEX target market list, targeting 50 companies two weeks post-agenda launch.
  • Participate in 5 calls weekly with the SPEX team to promote collaborative selling.
  • Produce three content pieces throughout the event campaign, including speaker interviews, podcasts, and press releases/updates from sponsors.

Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills & Attributes:

  • Experience in exploring innovative revenue models beyond traditional conference frameworks.
  • A proven history in Confex or within the energy, finance, and investment sectors.
  • Strong project management capabilities.
  • Confident in building rapport and lasting relationships with senior executives.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask across multiple events.
  • Familiarity with systems such as Salesforce and Pardot.
  • A keen interest in energy, energy transition, cleantech, finance, and investment.
