The Role:
This position involves working with a specialized energy networking platform that encompasses the entire value chain, concentrating on premier events and initiatives. Energy Council is a well-established brand with a 15-year history of executing successful events for a global network of investors, financiers, energy, and technology providers.
The selected candidate will have the chance to enhance the success and expansion of our portfolio of live events, as well as customized event offerings across upstream, midstream, and downstream sectors.
The ideal applicant will possess a genuine passion for the industry, offer valuable industry insights, thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced team setting, and have the freedom to apply their creativity in shaping future events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct a minimum of 25 research calls to identify key themes and topics.
- Develop Audience Development Initiative lists throughout the campaign.
- Identify the top 2-3 job titles from each company to include in the target market list, aiming for 200 names by the agenda launch date, with a goal of reaching 400 names by the end of the campaign.
- Create a speaker target market list, ideally by the agenda launch date.
- Compile a SPEX target market list, targeting 50 companies two weeks after the agenda launch.
- Participate in five calls per week with the SPEX team to promote collaborative selling.
- Produce three content pieces throughout the event campaign, such as speaker interviews, podcasts, and press releases/updates from sponsors.
Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills & Behaviors:
- Experience in exploring innovative revenue models beyond traditional conference frameworks.
- A proven history in the conference industry or within the energy, finance, and investment sectors.
- Strong project management capabilities.
- Confidence in building rapport and lasting relationships with senior executives.
- Exceptional organizational skills, capable of multitasking across multiple events.
- Familiarity with systems such as Salesforce and Pardot.
- Interest in energy, energy transition, cleantech, finance, and investment.
