Job Title: Chef - Bank

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our team at Brendoncare Stildon, a residential and nursing care home providing a home-like atmosphere for our residents.

About the Role:
  • Prepare and cook nutritious meals for our residents, taking into account their individual needs and dietary requirements.
  • Deputise for the Chef Manager in their absence and assist with meal planning and stock rotation.
  • Cook for approximately 60+ people per day, including staff meals and additional catering requirements.
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and ensure COSHH standards are exceeded.
  • Complete HACCP records and adhere to Health and Safety, Food Safety and Hygiene legislation.
Requirements:
  • Level 2 Food Safety Qualification.
  • Commercial cooking experience.
  • Competent in IT software, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety, Food Safety and Hygiene, HACCP and COSHH legislation and its application.
  • Prior experience in a Care Home setting or catering for older/vulnerable adults is desirable.
