Control & Automation Engineer – Dynamic Positioning Experience

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Control & Automation Engineer with expertise in dynamic positioning to join our team at Turner Lovell. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and testing dynamic positioning and automation systems for offshore and naval applications.

Responsibilities

  • Design automation systems for offshore/marine dynamic positioning systems.
  • Functional design of HMI, PLC architecture, networks, communication interfaces.
  • Execute full engineering lifecycle for delivering compliant DP/Automation systems.
  • Plan and ensure on-time, cost-effective, quality project delivery including testing/documentation.
  • PLC coding using IEC languages (such as Ladder diagram, Function block diagram).
  • Design, implement, and test simulations that mimic industrial processes by utilizing HMI and SCADA software packages.

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Industrial Controls or equivalent experience.
  • Prior experience in designing, testing and programming automations of Dynamic Positioning systems or similar redundant systems.
  • Strong understanding of PLC (IEC61131) and HMI/SCADA programming skills.
  • Experience in control/instrumentation, mechanical/electrical packaging for automation.
  • Knowledge of industrial protocols – Modbus, OPC-UA, Profibus, Profinet.
