Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Automation and Controls Engineer to join our team at AutoNeura. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing advanced control systems for our software platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead software/control systems algorithm development and architecture
  • Conduct R&D of control system algorithms, including hardware in the loop testing
  • Perform technical analysis of control strategy performance
  • Publish high-quality journal papers and attend conferences
  • Report technical status and develop modular, reusable test and automation software
  • Define and implement project plans, manage milestones, and hold reviews to ensure reliable test systems are delivered to production
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering, math, or science discipline
  • 2+ years of software programming experience using Python, C++, or other object-oriented language
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • 3 to 5 years of work experience with programming and developing custom control systems
  • Knowledge of dynamometer control systems, motor control systems, or engine control systems
  • Experience with advanced control strategies or machine learning approaches
  • Extensive knowledge of digital and analog interfaces, including GPIB, USB, VISA, TCP/IP, VLAN, CAN bus, SPI, I2C, Modbus, and analog-to-digital conversion
  • Ability to work independently and under tight time constraints
  • Strong communicator with the ability to present findings and brainstorm on future steps for development
