Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Control & Automation Engineer with expertise in Dynamic Positioning to join our team at Turner Lovell. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, testing, and implementing automation systems for offshore and naval applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop automation systems for dynamic positioning systems, including functional design of HMI, PLC architecture, networks, and communication interfaces.
  • Execute the full engineering lifecycle for delivering compliant DP/Automation systems, including testing and documentation.
  • Plan and ensure on-time, cost-effective, quality project delivery, including testing and documentation.
  • Develop and implement PLC coding using IEC languages, such as Ladder diagram and Function block diagram.
  • Design, implement, and test simulations that mimic industrial processes using HMI and SCADA software packages.
  • Collaborate on equipment drawings, wiring diagrams, and interconnections.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Industrial Controls, or equivalent experience.
  • Prior experience in designing, testing, and programming automation systems for dynamic positioning or similar redundant systems.
  • Strong understanding of PLC (IEC61131) and HMI/SCADA programming skills.
  • Experience in control/instrumentation, mechanical/electrical packaging for automation.
  • Chartered Engineer status or pursuing chartership.
  • Knowledge of industrial protocols, such as Modbus, OPC-UA, Profibus, and Profinet.
  • Willing to secure basic security clearance.
