Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Principal Architect to lead our AI-focused Professional Services delivery engagements and cross-functional technical teams on customer programs or projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for technical communications with WWT Engineers, Architects, and the customer for AI-driven projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead architecture development activities and methodologies, conducting comprehensive discovery, analysis, and technical/business AI recommendations.
  • Serve as the main technical contact between WWT and the customer, ensuring the team meets the customer's AI and technical needs from project inception to completion.
  • Develop and deliver project work ensuring quality, standards, and methodologies are followed, with appropriate AI resources available.
  • Participate with Sales during the sales process through AI Project Scoping Workshops (PSWs), presentations, solutions, and development of Scopes of Work.
  • Bridge between Sales and Professional Services for new AI opportunities.
  • Foster long-term client relationships with a proven track record of customer focus.
  • Manage partner and vendor resources effectively, particularly those focused on AI technologies.
  • General understanding of financial forecasting, reporting, and budgeting.
  • Personnel management experience with expertise in AI project architectural principles and practices.
  • Willingness to travel 50-75% of the time.
Requirements
  • Extensive industry experience in IT infrastructure architecture development, technology consulting, advisory, or professional services, with a focus on AI.
  • Proven experience as a Senior or Lead Architect or equivalent experience in AI projects.
  • Thorough understanding of at least one central WWT technology core focus area, including AI-driven Infrastructure Modernization, Security Transformation, or Multi-cloud architecture.
  • One or more major industry IT certifications, ideally with one or more of WWT's core OEM partners in AI.
  • Demonstrated leadership, team building, and management skills, particularly in AI projects.
  • Advanced client-facing skills, including analyzing and providing AI solutions to complex architecture or services problems, influencing, and negotiating with clients.
  • Demonstrated technical consulting experience in one or more vertical sectors: government, public sector, higher education, finance, health care, technology, or other commercial.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze complex technical and business problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Experience with AI and machine learning technologies and their applications in various industries.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies, particularly in AI and cloud computing.
