Position Overview:


An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Commercial Product Sales division for a seasoned Commercial Solutions Engineer to contribute to our growth.

Reporting to the Regional Solutions Manager, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing market presence and driving sales through strategic partnerships with regional contractors and the effective identification of opportunities to secure projects with key merchants.

Your focus will be on elevating customer satisfaction and establishing a competitive edge in the Commercial HVAC sector for Baxi.

Key Responsibilities:


As the Commercial Solutions Engineer, you will be crucial in advancing sales for Commercial Boilers and Andrews Water Heaters, as well as all ASHP opportunities arising from contractor or merchant interactions.


Your daily tasks will include:
- Working diligently to regain market share and volume for commercial products while maintaining a keen eye on profit margins.

- Collaborating with the Head of Technical Solutions, who will assist with ASHP and Hybrid options as necessary.

- Fully embracing the company’s vision and values.

- Adopting an organized and proactive approach to managing sales activities.

- Achieving budget targets and developing a robust project pipeline.

- Meeting and surpassing all KPIs set by your Manager.

- Overseeing daily operations, reports, and communications.


Focusing on reducing the emphasis on forecast demand and identifying trends through strong relationships with key customers and decision-makers.

Managing multiple projects at various stages simultaneously.

- Negotiating and addressing customer needs and expectations to influence purchasing decisions.


- Providing comprehensive information including CAD/BIM objects, technical documentation, regulatory information, test certifications, installation guides, pricing, and availability.

You will be expected to cultivate new customer relationships while managing existing accounts.

- Building effective and collaborative working relationships with all internal and external colleagues, including non-conflicting manufacturers.

- Ensuring compliance with all Health and Safety procedures and current guidelines.

Candidate Profile:
To thrive in this role, you will need to:

- Possess extensive experience in a technical or engineering field or hold an HND/degree qualification.

- Demonstrate a proven history of achieving sales and generating leads across diverse channels and market segments.

- Have experience in high-level negotiations and conflict resolution.

- Utilize mathematical concepts to devise solutions for presentation and implementation to a non-technical audience.

- Exhibit strong numerical skills, with the ability to convert data into actionable insights.

- Understand and interpret market dynamics, products, and services.

- Showcase excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.

- Have a broad understanding of UK Construction markets and distribution channels.

- Communicate effectively at all levels, possessing strong electronic, written, and verbal communication skills.

- Have experience across various market segments and applications within the construction industry.
