Accounts Payable Manager

Marks Sattin Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accounts Payable professional to manage the AP function and lead a team of junior staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Team Management: Supervise and mentor junior AP staff to ensure they are working efficiently and effectively.
- AP Process Management: Oversee the processing of purchase invoices, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Supplier and Debtors Management: Manage supplier and debtors ledgers, ensuring best practices are followed.
- Liaison and Communication: Liaise between departments and suppliers as necessary, ensuring smooth communication and resolution of issues.
- Payment Processing: Ensure the smooth operation of weekly payment runs and provide support for daily bank postings.
- Month-End Closing: Ensure accurate and timely completion of month-end closing processes for accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconciliation: Ensure accurate reconciliation of debtors and creditor ledgers on a monthly basis.
- Vendor Management: Complete new vendor creation process and supplier statement reconciliations.
- Project Costing: Work on project costing and approval processes.
- Payment List Preparation: Complete weekly payment list preparation.
- AP Queries: Be the main point of contact for AP queries.
This role is ideal for someone looking to progress to a management position, with direct management of one junior AP employee. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience within a commercial role and ideally have worked within the construction/design industry and in multicurrency. Proficiency in Sage 50, Excel, and CIS is required.
