As a key member of our Electrical Calibration department, you will be responsible for performing and supervising high-level calibration and repair of electrical test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE). Key Responsibilities: * Perform and supervise high-level calibration and repair of TMDE, including resource management and calibration workload signoff * Write, review, and approve calibration procedures and measurement uncertainty budgets * Participate in UKAS (ISO) audits and achieve UKAS signatory status * Deliver on-the-job training and experiential learning to apprentices and lesser-experienced team members * Provide professional communication with technical stakeholders, including consultation on new measurement technologies Requirements: * Extensive experience in a precision Electrical metrology laboratory environment * Understanding of quality systems and standards (ISO 17025/ISO 9001) * Relevant academic qualification (STEM degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent) Desirable: * Existing UKAS signatory status for Electrical Calibration * Experience in creating measurement uncertainty budgets to ISO 17025 level * Experience in using automation software (Fluke Metcal, Met/Track, Met/Teams, Labview) * Experience in Mechanical/Dimensional/Temperature calibrations Benefits: As a Principal Electrical Calibration Engineer at BAE Systems, you will receive a competitive salary, enhanced annual leave incentive, and a Company-contributed Share Incentive Plan.
