As a key member of our Electrical Calibration department, you will be responsible for performing and supervising high-level calibration and repair of electrical test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE). Key Responsibilities: * Perform and supervise high-level calibration and repair of electrical TMDE, including resource management and calibration workload signoff * Write, review, and approve calibration procedures and measurement uncertainty budgets * Participate in UKAS (ISO) audits and achieve UKAS signatory status * Deliver on-the-job training and experiential learning to apprentices and lesser-experienced team members * Communicate professionally with technical stakeholders, including consultation on new measurement technologies Requirements: * Extensive experience in a precision electrical metrology laboratory environment * Understanding of quality systems and standards (ISO 17025/ISO 9001) * Relevant academic qualification (STEM degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent) Desirable: * Existing UKAS signatory status for Electrical Calibration * Experience in creating measurement uncertainty budgets to ISO 17025 level * Experience in using automation software (Fluke Metcal, Met/Track, Met/Teams, Labview) * Experience in mechanical, dimensional, and temperature calibrations Benefits: * Competitive pension scheme * Enhanced annual leave incentive * Company-contributed Share Incentive Plan * Flexible working arrangements * Employee assistance program * Cycle2work and employee discounts About the Team: Our Electrical Calibration department supports 30,000 pieces of equipment per year, ranging from traditional analogue equipment to state-of-the-art digital systems.
