Financial Strategist for Music Industry Deals

Our dedicated Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team plays a crucial role in supporting all areas of WMG, including Recorded Music, Music Publishing, and Corporate.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of FP&A, Deals to join our dynamic team. This individual will be responsible for providing financial analysis and strategic guidance on a wide range of music industry deals.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct in-depth financial modeling and analysis to support deal structuring and negotiation
  • Develop comprehensive financial projections and forecasts for proposed transactions
  • Identify key financial risks and opportunities associated with music industry deals
  • Prepare clear and concise presentations to senior management, outlining the financial implications of various deal options
  • Collaborate closely with legal, business development, and other internal stakeholders throughout the deal lifecycle
  • Stay abreast of current trends and best practices in music industry finance
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within the music industry or entertainment sector
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in financial modeling software (e.g., Excel)
  • Deep understanding of music industry business models and revenue streams
