About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Support Worker to join our dynamic team at Balmoral Gate in Glasgow. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support to individuals with mental health, learning disabilities, and autism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coach and mentor junior support workers, providing regular supervision and identifying training needs.
  • Produce monthly rotas, considering budgetary requirements and ensuring staff meet contracted hours.
  • Liaise with external health professionals and facilitate meetings with supported individuals and their families to create effective person-centred support plans.
  • Match individuals with staff members, considering specific outcomes and goals.
  • Work closely with the Service Manager to ensure seamless delivery of care services.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in supporting individuals with mental health and learning disabilities.
  • Passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care and support.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to plan and prioritize workload.
  • Good understanding of SSSC Codes of Practice and Health & Social Care Standards.
  • SVQ Level 3 in Social Services & Healthcare or willingness to work towards qualification.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with individuals, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to motivate and lead others.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience working with individuals with autism and knowledge of positive behavior approaches.
  • Driving license and access to a vehicle.
