Job Title: Support Assistant for Visually Impaired Student

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Assistant to work with a visually impaired student in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the student with daily tasks and activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Encourage the student's independence and resilience in learning and social interactions.
  • Collaborate with the student's family to address concerns and support their overall development.
  • Support teachers with lesson planning and preparation to ensure curriculum accessibility.
  • Monitor progress, set targets, and implement interventions to support the student's academic and social development.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications and training for this role.
  • Ability to work closely with the student's family and school staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with a visually impaired student.
