Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Gov Facility Services Ltd (GFSL).
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing mechanical systems within our facilities, ensuring a safe and secure environment for prisoners and staff alike.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and repair mechanical systems, including plumbing, heating, and ventilation.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
- Work collaboratively with other teams to achieve facility maintenance goals.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspections and repairs.
- Develop and implement maintenance plans to prevent equipment failures.
- Two years' experience working in a role as a plumber or equivalent.
- Familiarity with and ability to work to Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements.
- Experience working on commercial or industrial heating and water systems.
- Good working knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements.
- Plumber qualified to C&G 6035 (Plumbing), C&G 6189 (Plumbing and heating) and NVQ level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent.
