About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at Zero Surplus, a leading sales recruitment agency based in East Anglia. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving new business growth and expanding our client base.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sell and secure profitable and sustainable content marketing services to our clients, including advertising, content, design, digital development, digital marketing, and media sales.
  • Target, create, and maintain a database of key contacts within specified target sectors and markets via our CRM system.
  • Create positive and collaborative working relationships with prospects and clients.
  • Play an active part in creating and delivering presentations and proposals, responding to tenders, and preparing for pitches.
Requirements
  • Experience in media sales, agency sales, or selling a B2B product/service that is adaptable.
  • Strong consultative and sales skills, with the ability to create proposals, pitch, and close sales.
  • Comfortable selling in person and presenting to clients.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and attend networking events and exhibitions.
