About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Performance Manager to join our Commercial team at AGS Airports Limited. This is a permanent, full-time role based at Southampton Airport.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the trading performance, operations, and standards for third-party operated retail and food and beverage units at the airport, as well as managed contracts.
  • Develop and implement strategies to grow income and evolve the product offering in line with changing customer needs.
  • Be the key point of contact for all Retail areas at Southampton Airport, responsible for managing communication of business updates to partners.
  • Maximize income generation from all airport retail categories via data analysis and stakeholder relations.
  • Drive and develop commercial awareness across the airport by influencing the senior leadership team on retail-related issues and opportunities.
  • Define the retail marketing plan with the wider AGS marketing team and ensure participation of retailers and advertising clients.
  • Influence commercial business partners to adopt and maintain safe and secure practices in line with SOU Airport health and safety objectives.
  • Influence commercial business partners to adopt a sustainable approach to operations in line with AGS's targets.
Requirements
  • Proven track record in a retail/commercial role, ideally within an airport environment or similar.
  • Strong commercial acumen and a high level of analytical/financial knowledge.
  • Well-developed influencing skills and proven negotiation skills.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Customer-focused with experience of building a strong customer proposition.
  • Evidence of innovation, entrepreneurialism, and the ability to rigorously test and apply new ideas.
  • A strong relationship builder both internally and externally.
