Reed Accountancy Oxfordshire is seeking a dedicated Payroll and Finance Officer to manage all aspects of their payroll system, pensions, and HMRC submissions. This role involves assisting with the production of management and year-end accounts. The position is a temporary to permanent role, 28 hours per week, with the possibility of being considered for a full-time position for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Payroll Management: Oversee the monthly payroll and RTI submissions, including SSP, SPP, SMP, PAYE, and National Insurance contributions.
- New Starters: Finalize records for new employees on CintraIQ, ensuring accurate input of bank details and application of annual leave schemes and allowances.
- Termination Payments: Process termination payments as instructed by the Head of Finance.
- Pension Contributions: Submit pension contributions for OSPS, USS, and the Church of England pension schemes, including auto-enrollment and NEST.
- Payroll Journal: Post the monthly payroll journal and reconcile all payroll control accounts.
- Budget Setting: Collate payroll data for annual budget setting in collaboration with the Head of Finance.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in payroll management and finance.
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and best practices.
- Proficiency in payroll software, preferably CintraIQ.
