Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll & Finance Officer to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing payroll processes, communicating deadlines, and ensuring accurate financial data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process monthly payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payments
  • Communicate payroll processing deadlines to stakeholders
  • Manage starters and leavers, including processing adjustments to pay
  • Handle payroll-related queries and provide excellent customer service
  • Submit pension contributions and prepare HMRC reports
Requirements
  • At least 2-3 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a higher education organization
  • Strong knowledge of payroll and finance systems, including Excel
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong team player with the ability to work under pressure
What We Offer
  • Competitive annual salary of £28,000 - £34,000 FTE
  • 28 working hours per week, with a temp to perm contract
