Payroll and Finance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll & Finance Officer to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing payroll processes, communicating deadlines, and ensuring accurate financial data.
Key Responsibilities- Process monthly payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payments
- Communicate payroll processing deadlines to stakeholders
- Manage starters and leavers, including processing adjustments to pay
- Handle payroll-related queries and provide excellent customer service
- Submit pension contributions and prepare HMRC reports
- At least 2-3 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a higher education organization
- Strong knowledge of payroll and finance systems, including Excel
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong team player with the ability to work under pressure
- Competitive annual salary of £28,000 - £34,000 FTE
- 28 working hours per week, with a temp to perm contract
- Staff meals on site, promoting a healthy work-life balance
