General Ledger Accountant with Spanish
Role Summary:
As a General Ledger Accountant, you will play a crucial role in overseeing General Ledger management and financial reporting, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, statutory requirements, and various accounting activities. You will also handle a range of financial reconciliation and control tasks as necessary within the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the precision of General Ledger entries for the designated Arrow companies.
- Execute all essential month-end financial closing procedures, including necessary accruals and prepayments.
- Prepare and manage all internal reporting obligations required within Europe and for the US headquarters.
- Oversee accounting and control related to facilities and restructuring.
- Implement relevant Sarbanes-Oxley compliance controls.
- Conduct hedging and revaluation activities.
- Provide headcount reporting, control, and forecasting assistance.
- Handle statutory accounting and corporate tax responsibilities.
- Manage statutory and corporate reconciliations, as well as European consolidation processes.
- Prepare and oversee VAT, Intrastat, and Sales List Reporting, including the submission of VAT Returns and ensuring compliance.
- Assist with all audit-related tasks.
- Maintain the fixed asset register and coordinate with accounts payable clerks and other departments as necessary.
- Conduct variance analysis for all the above tasks.
- Support fellow accountants within the team on various tasks to fulfill the overall needs of the finance department.
- Engage in the development of new and efficient processes and procedures within the accounting team.
- Provide assistance to the Accounting Manager on projects and ad-hoc assignments.
- Supervise other staff members as appropriate.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of comprehensive accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of general accounting and reporting practices.
- Proficient in English and Spanish.
- Experience in handling accruals, prepayments, VAT, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Advanced skills in Excel and data manipulation.
- Results-oriented with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
