General Ledger Accountant with Spanish
Role Summary:
As a General Ledger Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing General Ledger oversight and reporting, ensuring compliance, handling tax matters, and executing various general accounting and reporting functions, along with a variety of financial reconciliation and control tasks as needed within the department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and ensure the precision of the General Ledger for designated Arrow entities.
- Execute all pertinent month-end financial closing activities, including necessary accruals and prepayments.
- Generate and take charge of all essential internal reporting required within Europe and for the US headquarters.
- Manage accounting and control related to facilities and restructuring.
- Implement relevant Sarbanes-Oxley controls.
- Handle hedging and revaluation processes.
- Support headcount reporting, control, and forecasting.
- Conduct statutory accounting and corporate tax tasks.
- Perform statutory and corporate reconciliations and European consolidation.
- Prepare and manage VAT, Intrastat, and Sales List Reporting, including submission of VAT Returns and related compliance.
- Assist and engage in all audit-related activities.
- Administer the fixed asset register and all relevant accounting, collaborating with accounts payable clerks and other business units as necessary.
- Prepare necessary variance analyses for all aforementioned tasks.
- Support fellow accountants within the team on various tasks to fulfill the overall requirements of the finance department.
- Participate in the development of new and efficient processes and procedures within the accounting team.
- Provide assistance to the Accounting Manager on projects and ad-hoc assignments.
- Supervise other staff when appropriate.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of comprehensive accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of general accounting and reporting processes.
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
- Experience in making accruals, prepayments, VAT, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Advanced skills in Excel and data manipulation.
- Results-oriented individual.
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Capable of prioritizing tasks effectively.
