Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to lead our project teams in delivering projects safely, on time, to stated quality, and at minimum cost. As a key member of our team, you will act as the link between our clients and other stakeholders, providing leadership and project management expertise to drive project success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and project management in all facets of project activities to deliver projects that meet cost, time, and quality requirements.
  • Develop and manage effective communication and liaison with all relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure requirements are identified, assessed, and integrated into the project.
  • Work with clients and report to the sector manager to establish project strategy and delivery.
  • Manage project P&L and work in a client-facing role, leading other team members, developing client strategy, and assisting in the appointment of extended professional teams.
  • Develop client briefs, deliver strategy, and lead design management, procurement, and execution of schemes.
  • Supervise and develop high-performing teams that strive for quality, safety, cost, and schedule improvements with all delivery partners.
  • Oversee the highest standards of health and safety throughout project stages.
  • Coordinate, plan, and manage internal and external meetings related to the project.
  • Drive the procurement of services and works required to deliver projects.
  • Provide input into client system safety and project risk assessment and management processes.
Line Management Duties
  • Review competencies of all personnel within the department to ensure suitable training, qualifications, and behaviors for the role.
  • Accountable for monitoring productivity on all works.
  • Accountable for creating and managing high-performing workforces within the discipline.
  • Accountable for timely delivery of key HR activities within the Utilities team, including annual salary and bonus reviews, appraisals, talent, and succession planning.
  • Support the creation and design of development programs and employee upskilling activities.
  • Ensure own and direct reports' mandatory e-learning modules and policy updates are completed as required.
  • Manage recruitment requirements via the ATS system.
  • Use the Cascade HR system to manage employee records and absences.
  • Familiarize and actively engage in using the Notify system and ensure direct reports are aware of its use for health and safety matters.
  • Have an in-depth understanding of all information security projects, policies, and procedures.
  • Oversee and ensure direct reports receive governance training on all information security policies and procedures.
  • Ensure any updates in information security policies and procedures are communicated to direct reports.
  • Understand the procedure for effective reporting and management of security incidents and breaches.
Requirements
  • Detailed knowledge of design processes and associated compliance.
  • Experience in delivering turnkey projects from tendering through to installation and handover.
  • Proven culture of sustainability and social responsibility.
  • Familiarity with the UK energy market.
  • Knowledge of relevant UK energy standards and processes.
Qualifications
  • A degree qualification in a related subject or equivalent is preferred.
  • Persons and BESC.
  • SMSTS.
  • CSCS/ECS management card.
  • Professional memberships of a relevant professional body or working towards membership is an advantage.
  • Full driving license.
Desired
  • ILM Level 3.
  • Experience in programme management, commercial management, design management, project reporting, BIM, and CAD management.
