About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth and Family Support Worker to join our team at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing essential support to children, young people, and their families within our community.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering face-to-face consultations and guidance to families facing various challenges.
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals and other stakeholders to ensure holistic care for children and young people.
- Providing emotional support and practical assistance to families in need.
- Facilitating workshops and group sessions on relevant topics such as parenting skills, child development, and mental health.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation of client interactions and progress.
- Contributing to the development and implementation of support programs for children and families.
Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- A strong commitment to working with children and families.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in delivering support services within a community setting.
- A NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent in a relevant field.
- GCSE level 3 equivalent in Maths and English.
