Position Overview
We are thrilled to announce a remarkable opportunity to become a vital part of our diverse medical team at a CQC rated 'Good' facility. As a Senior Gynaecology Consultant, you will leverage your expertise in non-Obstetric Gynaecology to enhance patient care and outcomes. Our organization prides itself on providing high-quality day case and inpatient treatments across various specialties, ensuring exceptional clinical services. You will report directly to the Hospital Medical Director and lead a dedicated multi-disciplinary team while performing a variety of non-Obstetric Gynaecological procedures. A strong background in laparoscopic techniques is crucial for this role.
Your responsibilities will include treating both NHS and private patients, adhering to established hospital protocols and practices. You will provide comprehensive in and out-patient care for common gynaecological issues, including menstrual disorders and urogynaecological symptoms. As a registered medical professional in the UK, your dedication to maintaining the highest standards of patient care will align with our values.
Key Responsibilities
Our focus is on delivering safe and effective patient care. Our modern facilities are equipped with cutting-edge technology, supported by a friendly and professional team. We have robust processes in place to uphold high hygiene standards, and we are committed to ensuring our patients receive the best possible care to facilitate their recovery.
The procedures you will perform include:
- Minor and intermediate procedures involving the vagina, cervix, uterus, and fallopian tubes, such as hysteroscopy, endometrial sampling, endometrial ablations, laparoscopy, tubal sterilizations, and MIRENA management.
- Major surgical interventions including Vaginal Hysterectomy, Colporrhaphy, abdominal hysterectomy, and fascial sling procedures.
- Experience in managing endometriosis is advantageous.
- Skills in total laparoscopic hysterectomy, laparoscopic-assisted vaginal hysterectomy, laparoscopic excision of endometriosis, and hysteroscopic resection of fibroids would be beneficial.
Candidate Profile
We seek individuals who possess:
- A UK registerable Medical Degree.
- MRCOG or an equivalent specialist qualification.
- Relevant CCT or its equivalent.
- A proven track record of academic success.
- Full and Specialist GMC Registration in the relevant specialty.
