About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Paediatric and Adolescent Gynaecology to join our team at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant in this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading a multidisciplinary team, and contributing to the development of our Paediatric and Adolescent Gynaecology service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide elective inpatient and outpatient care to patients referred with benign gynaecological conditions, including clinics and operating.
  • Ensure timely diagnostic pathways for women with suspected cancer in liaison with the cancer diagnosis tracking team.
  • Contribute to audit and research in the service, including participating in clinical governance and audit activities.
  • Develop and deliver a rapid access service for suspected cancer within cancer wait times.
  • Perform general gynaecological surgery independently, including elective and emergency procedures.

Requirements
  • Full and specialist registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) or eligible for specialist registration within 6 months.
  • Holder of Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT), or evidence of within six months of award of CCT or equivalent by date of interview.
  • MRCOG or appropriate specialist qualification.
  • RCOG ATSM in Paediatric and Adolescent Gynaecology.
