Biomedical Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Scientist to join our dynamic Cellular Pathology Department. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing an efficient and effective Histology and Diagnostic (Non Gynae) Cytology service to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake routine and specialized laboratory techniques in the processing of Diagnostic Cytology (Non Gynae) samples.
- Support laboratory staff with queries and troubleshoot issues related to sample acceptance and processing.
- Be prepared to cover various steps in Non Gynae sample processing, staining, pre-screening, and sending cases to pathologists.
- Work within health and safety guidelines and maintain high professional standards.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements- IBMS Accredited BSc in Biomedical Science or equivalent.
- HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist.
- Knowledge and experience of Histology/ Diagnostic (Non Gynae) Cytology processing, techniques, pre-screening, and practices at post-honours degree level.
- Ability to work across multiple sites and adapt to changing priorities.
