**Opportunity for Specialist Biomedical Scientists**
SYNLAB UK & Ireland is seeking a highly skilled Specialist Biomedical Scientist to join our Night worker team in the Haematology department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing and interpreting routine and specialist biomedical investigations autonomously, ensuring patients receive results within agreed quality standards of service delivery and turnaround times under the supervision of senior staff.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Rotate through all areas of a Laboratory as required, performing all designated duties in accordance with local working practices.
- Maintain high professional standards and conform to Health and Safety regulations.
- Provide professional leadership and training to Basic Grade, Trainee Biomedical Scientist, Associate Practitioners (equivalent grades) and Medical Laboratory Assistants.
- Maintain the standards of conduct required by the Health Professions Council to practice as a registered Biomedical Scientist.
**Requirements:**
- HCPC Registration as a Biomedical Scientist.
- At least 2 years post-registration experience in Haematology/BT specialism.
- Specialist portfolio in Haematology and BT or equivalent.
- Experience in lone working in blood transfusion and haematology (including morphology).
