Position Overview

Arthur Recruitment is seeking an experienced Audit Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role involves collaborating closely with the Head of Internal Audit to enhance our audit processes and ensure compliance across the organization.

As a vital member of our internal audit team, you will play a key role in evaluating the effectiveness of our risk management, control, and governance frameworks. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive internal audits: Develop audit scopes, document workflows, execute audit procedures, present findings, compile reports, and monitor follow-up actions.
  • Collaborating with various teams: Work alongside business units, risk management, and compliance teams to foster an integrated Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) approach.
  • Preparing audit documentation: Assist in the creation of internal audit reports for the audit committees and contribute to the formulation of the annual audit strategy.
  • Evaluating control effectiveness: Test the effectiveness of SOX controls and undertake special audit projects, providing support to the global audit team as required.
  • Managing external relationships: Oversee interactions with external auditors and third-party audit service providers.
  • Building stakeholder relationships: Establish and maintain strong working relationships with various stakeholders throughout the organization.

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • Professional certification or progress towards CIA, ACCA, or ACA.
  • Demonstrated experience in an internal or external audit capacity within the insurance industry.
  • Strong understanding of financial and operational risks and controls.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and time management abilities.
  • Thorough knowledge of internal auditing standards and methodologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

The compensation package includes a competitive salary of up to £70,000, along with bonus opportunities, benefits, and a hybrid working model.
