Job Title: Payroll Senior Assistant/Manager

Kenton Black is seeking a highly skilled Payroll Senior Assistant/Manager to join their team in Wigan. This is a part-time role, working up to 25 hours per week, with the option to increase to 30 hours by taking on additional bookkeeping duties.

The successful candidate will have full end-to-end payroll processing experience, ideally within a bureau or in-house role. Knowledge of Brightpay is desirable, and training will be provided. This is a standalone role offering autonomy for an experienced payroll professional seeking more responsibility and the opportunity to work unsupervised.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process small and high-volume payrolls on a weekly, monthly, or fortnightly basis via Brightpay.
  • Set up new client payrolls, including PAYE.
  • Handle HMRC queries and client liaison via email and telephone.
Requirements:
  • At least 2 years of experience in payroll processing within a bureau, umbrella, or in-house role.
  • Knowledge of CIS returns and bookkeeping/accounts is desirable.
