Facilities Management Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Facilities Manager to join our team at British Land. As a key member of our property services team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality facilities management services to our retail sites in the Midlands region.
Key Responsibilities- Operational Management
- Lead on operational matters to ensure high standards of cleaning, repair, and presentation are achieved and maintained
- Conduct regular site inspections and ensure properties are maintained in a safe and secure state
- Review operational processes and procedures to ensure compliance and best practice
- Implement car park management strategies to maximize available parking for customers
- Deliver services within pre-agreed budgets and assist with the drafting of service charge budgets
- Occupier Liaison
- Be the first point of contact for occupier issues and resolve them quickly and efficiently
- Regularly visit and liaise with occupiers to build strong relationships and resolve service issues
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure occupiers are complying with their repair and maintenance obligations
- Relationships and Team Motivation
- Develop close working relationships with suppliers and service partners to ensure they understand required standards
- Ensure service partner site staff are trained to provide high-quality customer service
- Establish external relationships to represent the interests of the owner and occupiers in the wider community
- Sustainability and Community
- Implement and monitor environmental strategies for each site, including waste and energy management
- Monitor and respond to issues affecting staff wellbeing
- Ensure charities working on site are authorized and appropriate paperwork is logged
- Health & Safety
- Ensure health and safety policy is implemented and all on-site staff are aware of their responsibilities
- Update health and safety reporting system and ensure certification and actions are completed
- Ensure risk assessments exist for each property and permits are issued where required
- Help prepare and ensure readiness of business continuity plans
- Experience of delivering high-quality FM services in a customer-focused environment
- Robust technical background and practical experience of hard and soft services
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practice
- Qualified to IOSH level
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing business requirements
- Ability to deliver value and operate within set budgets
- Experience of multi-site facilities management
