Job Title: SEN Support Assistant for Year 7 Students

Location: Grantham, Lincolnshire

Job Type: Temporary

Salary: £ per day (dependent on experience)

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced SEN Support Assistant to work with a school in Grantham. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a Year 7 classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working with small groups and 1:1 time with SEN students to provide individualized support and guidance.
  • Assisting students with academic tasks and promoting their learning and development.
  • Using behavioral management and communication skills to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Utilizing resources to help students understand and engage in lessons.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications or experience working with SEN students.
  • A positive and can-do attitude to provide the best care for our SEN students.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate with other teachers.
  • Quickly adaptable and able to change as necessary in the classroom.
  • Previous experience working with SEN students.
  • Hold a valid DBS on the update service.
