Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Chef de Partie to join our culinary team at the Roe Park Resort.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in the supervision of kitchen production, ensuring the highest food quality consistent with cost control and profitability margins.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Executive Chef in all areas of kitchen operations to ensure the highest food quality.
  • Adhere to Roe Park Resort standards of food quality, preparation, recipes, and presentation.
  • Supervise the proper set-up of each item on menus and ensure their readiness.
  • Oversee the seasonings, portions, and appearance of food service in the operation.
  • Store unused food properly to minimize waste and maximize quality.
  • Work closely with chefs to ensure correct preparation and delivery times are kept and food quality is maintained.
  • Supervise food production staff and the porters function, utilizing supervisory skills and motivation to maximize employee productivity and satisfaction.
  • Monitor and help staff to follow all applicable laws, especially in regards to food safety and sanitation.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 2 Food Preparation or equivalent.
  • Level 2 Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
  • 2 years' previous experience in a similar position.
  • Experience in a hotel environment with banqueting of 250+ covers.
  • Ability to prioritize workload of set section in kitchen.
  • Ability to produce good quality cuisine without close supervision.
  • Ability to supervise staff in a competent manner.
