Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Chef de Partie to join our culinary team at Roe Park Resort. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in the supervision of food production and ensuring that our guests receive the highest quality dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Executive Chef in the supervision of kitchen production and participate in food production to ensure the highest quality of food.
  • Ensure that all food operations provide the highest quality of food consistent with cost control and profitability margins.
  • Supervise the proper set-up of each item on menus and ensure their readiness.
  • Oversee the seasonings, portions, and appearance of food service in the operation.
  • Store unused food properly to minimize waste and maximize quality.
  • Work closely with chefs to ensure correct preparation and delivery times are kept and food quality is maintained.
  • Confers closely and regularly with the Executive Head Chef and takes every opportunity to become familiar with all aspects of his or her position.
  • Keep all temperature records up to date.
  • Ensure that a portion from function main course is kept for freezing.

Requirements:

  • Level 2 Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
  • NVQ Level 2 Food Preparation or equivalent
  • 2 years' previous experience in a similar position
  • Experience in a hotel environment with banqueting of 250+ covers
  • Ability to prioritize workload of set section in kitchen
  • Ability to supervise staff in a competent manner
  • Ability to produce good quality cuisine without close supervision
  • Be able to work and support Executive Head Chef/Sous Chefs
  • Must be able to travel to work
  • Must be available for shifts to suit hotel requirements
  • Must be available Monday-Sunday
  • Must be available for weekends
  • Must be available for bank holidays including Christmas holiday period
